Aims and scope

This journal is bi-monthly published and the purpose is to devote the prompt publication of original articles on any aspect of noise and vibration issues in various fields including mechanical engineering, construction engineering, environmental engineering and so on. This journal publishes fundamental work, theoretical analysis, experimental investigation and practical application on noise, vibration and shock problems in various fields including mechanical engineering and environmental engineering. Recently, articles on advanced technology of active noise and vibration control are also published in this journal.

Originally, this journal was launched by Korean Society for Noise and Vibration Engineering (KSNVE) as a Korean Journal in 1991. The articles written in English are being increased, but most of the articles are still written in Korean. The KSNVE now strongly suggests the authors to submit articles written in English to promote this journal as a prestigious international journal.

Recently, Korea Research Foundation announced the rank of the KCI (Korean Citation Index). This journal was ranked 54th among 188 KCI engineering and science journals (in 2008). In related engineering fields such as mechanical and automotive engineering, this journal was ranked as one of the top 5 high quality journals.
